My name is Kaitie. I am currently a Junior at Ouachita Baptist University! I am going to double major in Mass Comm/Christian Ministry. I know for a fact that this is where God wants me to be. I am beyond excited with this new journey that I am about to take on. I ask that you please keep me in your prayers.
Why Ouachita? I knew Ouachita was my school not just because the main school color was PURPLE! I knew it was where I belonged because it was the one college that I kept coming back to when researching different colleges. I wanted to be close to home, attend a Christian university (for a major in Ministry), and I wanted to be able to have that feeling of security like a second home. Ouachita is definitely going to be my home away from home. The staff, the students, the whole atmosphere is wonderful. God led me to the perfect school for me.
My Plan. Okay so I now have a double major in Mass Comm/Christian Ministry. What do I plan to do with the four years of learning that made my parents and I broke? God has called me to lead my own ministry for preteen/teenage girls. I have the name for the ministry all figured out. Within my ministry I want to write books (currently working on), maybe publish some articles in Christian magazines, as well as go to different states to speak. I know that ministry, unfortunately, cannot be my only income. Hints the Mass Comm major. Mass Comm is such a wide department. You have broadcasting, public relations, journalism, etc. I plan to tap into all of the different types of department. I want to know the best way to promote my ministry. I want to be able to know how to speak properly, be in front of the camera, etc. All of these things I want/need fall into Mass Comm.
I know that I will be successful. I am determined. I know that God, my family, my friends are with me and support me. I know that success is not based on the amount that appears on your paycheck. Success is doing what you love. Success is knowing you are trying your best. Success is obeying God. Success is pleasing God in every action, word you speak. Success is living for God.
A Little Bit More. A little bit more about myself... I am a daughter, sister, great-granddaughter, and most importantly a child of the King. I love my life and try my best to live it to the fullest! I am a very positive person who loves acting absolutely crazy at times. Everyone needs laughter in their life. I believe that it is one of the best things in life. Plus, it burns calories.
The most important part of my life is God. Without Him, I would be nothing. I have faith in Him and trust Him in every circumstance. (Even though this can be quite difficult at times.) He always has my best interest in mind. I have a purpose because of Him. Because of Him, I have a reason to live and rejoice in my days.
I do not know where I would be without my family! They are always there for me in time of need and even sometimes when I don't want them around. We are completely "normal." I love my crazy family. There is never a dull moment around the house.
I could also not live without my friends. They are the absolute best! My very best friend, Adriane, is always there for me. When I have a bad day I can call her and vent. She always listens even if it's the same drama I have been venting about for a week. She never says, "I told you so," when I don't take her advice and things go wrong. She is there to say well, here's another option. While we are good at being serious, we are even better at being complete goofballs. Sometimes when you are having a bad day you just need to dance like an idiotic person. It makes you laugh and forget about your worries. See, laughter is one of the best things in life.
I am in love with the Arkansas Razorbacks, Hello Kitty, and my iPhone. I love country music, fried pickles, and chocolate is always good. I love the number twenty-one, Bon Jovi, and the movie Pretty in Pink. I love star-gazer lilies, nail polish, and Pretty Little Liars. I love high heels, pretty dresses, and mascara. I live in the city, but I have a country side too. In conclusion, I'm just a girl trying to live out her dreams while glorifying God in every aspect of life.
